Booking Terms
To confirm bookings, a non-refundable deposit of 60% of the letting charges will be charged at the time of booking. The Booking Terms apply to Martha’s Farmhouse and are governed by Ugandan law and apply to all bookings except where we agree in writing on other terms. By making a Booking you accept these booking Terms.
Bookings
Bookings are made and a contract between you and Martha’s Farmhouse comes into effect when we receive a 60% non-refundable deposit from you.
When the date of the reservation is more than six weeks from the date of the booking, we will hold the reservation for 14 days until a 60% non-refundable deposit is paid. In case the date of the reservation is less than six weeks but more than two weeks, we will hold the reservation for 7 days until a 60% non-refundable deposit is paid. For a date of reservation that is less than two weeks from the date of the booking, immediate payment is required of 60% non-refundable deposit.
The balance will be paid before check in.
Even if we have sent a written confirmation, we on behalf of the owner, Martha’s Farmhouse, have the right to cancel a booking where there are reasonable grounds to believe that (i) it is not legitimate (ii) you are likely to breach any of our booking conditions (iii) information supplied by you in relation to your booking is incorrect (iv) you have behaved in a vexatious, abusive or unlawful manner to owners, suppliers or to our staff. If we cancel your booking, we will tell you in writing and we will have any legal responsibility to you.
Prices
Our daily charges for the house is 250,000 UGX per person, per day. This is inclusive of meals full board (Breakfast , Lunch & Dinner) Children above 5 - 12 years pay half price and below are free . Martha’s Farmhouse is booked to one guest or group of guests in its entirety and for exclusive use at any one time.
Arrival and departure
Check-in times are between 12 noon. & 1800 hrs. Check-in times outside of those specified must be agreed with Martha’s Farmhouse prior to arrival. The Check-out time is strictly 12 noon. We are now offering a late check-out package of at half price of the daily charges per person.
Cancellations
Any non-refundable booking deposit, 40% of the total amount of letting charges booking will be forfeited if you cancel your booking. We are delighted to speak to you about your circumstances and encourage you to email or call us to discuss your cancellation further.
Amendments
To amend or Cancel Your Booking, please email or call us.
Conditions
We have some rules and arrangements that are designed to ensure that we comply with regulations relating to matters such as fire, health and safety, licensing, access to enhance the comfort and well-being of our guests. If you would like to check our conditions of stay please contact us.
We reserve the right to terminate your booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation where you engage in unacceptable behaviour that causes a disturbance, risk to life or health or nuisance to others living on at the Farmhouse.
Liability
Other than for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or misrepresentation, our total liability to you is limited to the price of the booking and to the fullest extent permitted by law all warranties are excluded and in no circumstances will we be responsible for any indirect or special damages.
We will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for any damage or loss caused to us or our property by your act, omission, default or neglect and you agree to indemnify us and to pay us on demand the amount reasonably required to make good or remedy any such damage or loss.
Non-Smoking policy
We operate a strict non-smoking policy within the Farmhouse and request that all guests respect our wishes.
Bookings and Group Bookings
We reserve the right to verbally dialogue any booking and group booking to ensure we find that Martha’s Farmhouse is the right place for the stay and gathering.
